As an practical economist I’m specialized in quantitive spreadsheet analysis and the tourism sector. From my Caribbean office on Curacao, Dutch Caribbean, I offer these services to governments, private organizations, hotels and hotel associations.

I have the following services to offer:

• Organizing a quantitative database of all relevant data for your company or organization. An example is setting a database of all key economic indicators for the island of Sint Maarten.
• Analysis and documentation of historical and current patterns. An example is an historical analysis of stay over and cruise tourism arrivals, hotel occupancy rates, expenditures for an island in the Caribbean. Based on these analysis, new tourism policy and promotion strategy was conceived.
• Constructing a (macro) economic model in a spreadsheet. Based on these models several economic simulations were done and policy was designed. Several business cases were calculated. After an intake, all relevant data on will be gathered and together with participants an economic model will be build. Training will be given how to perform economic what-if simulations and produce policy scenarios.
• Training economic research. Training of your employees, policy advisers in economic research. Junior economists will be trained in the process of quantitative economic research, networking and producing policy recommendations. All this research is done within a quantitative micro and macro economic framework.
• Tourism surveys. Tourism is the key service sector in the Caribbean. Do you need data about tourists? Do you want to know where to spend your marketing budget? I can set up an (online) tourism survey for your organization and analyze the results. You will receive plenty of data about your visitors, their spending, their interests etc. in an easy to read document so you can improve your policy and promotion.
• Review of policy documents and business plans. Do you want an experienced economist to review your documents? I can help you set up a research document, discuss the contents or review the documents.
