Steps to start with the macro model

You only need Excel to use the macro model.

1. Download the zip file.

2. Unzip the file.

3. Go to Curalyse to see the macro model.

Contents of the zip file

• The zip file contains a version of Antillyse, which is a macro model for the former Dutch Antilles. You will find there the macro model Curalyse for the island Curacao. I have helped improved several parts of this model and several modules. A similar, but less complex model for Sint Maarten is currently being built by me and my partner. With this model you can see that all the macro economic data is organized. Furthermore with the core macro model you can perform analysis of the past and estimate the future through forcasts. Also you can run what-if simulations.

Other economic modules to the macro model

• Several modules can be built to the model to improve your analyses. Like a consumer price module to monitor inflation.
• A cruise and stay over module to monitor stayover and cruise tourism.
• An income and tax module to estimate the effect of policy measures on the income of several social groups. Perform social sector and health calculations.
• A labour module to analyse the labour market, education sector. And a financial or budget module to perform budget calculations.
