the media research on Aruba is carried out for the third time. The investigations have taken place previously in 2007 and 2010. The media research Aruba 2012 answers the following question: what audience is reached through local mass media (TV, radio, newspapers, the internet and social media) is expressed in terms of frequency, time (s) and location (s). In this study, over 1,200 people, over 16 years, interviewed on Aruba. The results of the 2012 media study are comparable to the survey in 2007 and 2010.

Purchasing Power Survey Caribbean Netherlands (12-04)

Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius have become part of the Netherlands since October 10, 2010 and now constitute the Caribbean Netherlands. In the transition, much has changed for the islands, such as another tax and contribution system, a new health insurance and the introduction of the dollar. In 2011, to the Caribbean Netherlands had a strong increase in prices. The feeling that purchasing power has fallen by the changes. Ecorys (NL) and Curconsult (CUR) are commissioned by the Ministries of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and Finance researched the purchasing power in the Caribbean Netherlands. The purpose of this research is to get clear what reasons are there for the price increases and the (perceived) decrease in purchasing power.

Economic outlook Sint Maarten and market expectations for the building materials and hardware industry (12-05)

Based on the economic outlook 2012-2013 Sint Maarten (drawn up by Ecorys) is further research into recent developments in the construction market. This involves non-residential and residential construction, as well as the market for servicing both business and residential. Based on the economic outlook and expectations of medium-term business and investment plans of the government’s attempt to understand how the building materials and hardware market will develop.

Economic prospects for Curaçao (12-07)

How the private sector will be in Curaçao change in the coming years? This question is asked by some 100 entrepreneurs, CEOs and CFOs with a company located in Curacao. During the interviews focused on their opinions and ideas about the economic outlook for their business, their industry and the economy of Curaçao. The goal of the research is to understand the economic developments in the private Curacao in the short and medium term sector.

Tracking Survey of professional education groups in Caribbean Netherlands: eenmeting (12-10)

The islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, also referred to as the Caribbean Netherlands, related to the field of education with many changes. Caribbean Netherlands has become part of the Netherlands and as a result, the Caribbean Dutch education was introduced. How education should look at these three islands is laid down in regulations and standards for primary, secondary and secondary vocational education. The purpose of education tracking research in the Caribbean Netherlands is to measure progress in the levels of knowledge, attitude and behavior among education professionals. With regard to the teaching changes that are waiting for them are still in the introduction of Dutch Caribbean Education or which already are (partly) realized. In 2011 baseline occurred and follow-up (or single) is 1.5 years on measurement site.

Perception Caribbean Netherlands: “Together to build” (12-11)

The changed political relations within the kingdom have many changes brought with the three Dutch Caribbean islands. Since October 10, 2010 ’10 -10-10 ‘offers the “National Caribbean Netherlands’ many services for the people.

How do the inhabitants of the islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba change since October 10, 2010 (’10 -10-10 ‘), how they experienced the services offering the national government, and how they experience the services compared the expectations people had when the islands became part of the Netherlands?

For the second time Curconsult has been commissioned by the Kingdom Representative for Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba a study into how people on the three islands of the Caribbean Netherlands experience the changes. The first survey was conducted in 2011.

Survey on the government crisis in Curacao (12-12)

Commissioned by Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) has conducted a survey among 408 voters on Curaçao. The questions are about satisfaction with the government Schotte, the desire for new elections and whether they would vote if voting in a coalition or opposition.

Survey among voters on Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius on the parliamentary elections in the Netherlands (12-13)

Commissioned by Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) is the last week of August and early September on Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius a survey . The purpose of the survey is to examine how connected people of Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius feel with Dutch politics. The questions in the survey will include about, or not vote for a Dutch political party, knowledge of Dutch politics and the confidence that Dutch politicians promote the interests of Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius.

Economic Impact Study Economic Zones of Curacao (12-15)

This report analyzes the influence of two economic zones in Curacao. Central to:

• Contribution of the e-zones to the Gross Domestic Product

• Contribution of the e-zones to the total foreign exchange earnings

• Average annual tax revenue for Curaçao obtained the e-zone companies

• Direct and indirect employment to smooth out the e-zone activities

• Other indicators which measure the economic impact of this e-zones.

Research voters on Curaçao (12-16)

In September 2012 surveys were conducted among voters on Curaçao. The purpose of this survey is to provide a betrouwbre prediction of the expected election results.

Market potential building materials and hardware Bonaire (12-18)

After 2010 appears to be the economic growth of Bonaire nil. The construction sector showed a decline; a contraction which could be much greater if the Netherlands and the EU would conduct a public investment projects such as the sewer project, the expansion of hospital Mariadal. The question is whether it is wise if suppliers to invest in this market. To answer this question is examined how the housing market for commercial and civil construction will develop in the next five years.

Upper Wind Compensation for workers (12-19)

The client has the premise that in terms of purchasing power, no differences should exist between its employees working on the two islands, Curacao and Sint Maarten. On Curconsult was given the assignment to carry out a study on the cost living on the two islands. In this report a distinction is made between: how much is a product or service on an island, whether to pay for a particular product or service and the impact of taxes and social contributions on the net amount to spend.

Market and location studies roundabout Caracas Bay (12-21)

The operator of a number of restaurants in Curacao are considering at the roundabout of Caracas Bay (formal name: Roundabout Padrenan Domin Kano) to open a new branch. This study answers the question of whether there is sufficient market potential to open a restauraurant or franchise at that location. Can such a restaurant to generate sufficient revenue to run profitable? In that context, residents, joggers and tourists surveyed about their eating and drinking habits.
